You can see Luffy jubilantly waving goodbye to the horizon on the poster. On top of that, the giant streaming service revealed new artwork for the series on its page, which depicts all of Luffy’s Straw Hat Pirates in action.

There needs to be more information regarding the live-action series. Netflix placed an order for a 10-episode series in 2020, but it was in November 2021 that the streaming service revealed its prominent cast members. Iaki Godoy will play Monkey D. Luffy, Mackenyu will play Roronoa Zoro, Emily Rudd will play Nami, Jacob Romero Gibson will play Usopp, and Taz Skylar will portray Sanji. Actor Peter Gadiot will play the role of pirate captain Red-H

However, even though fans are witnessing Luffy’s Straw Hat Pirates for the first time, this is not, strictly speaking, the first time they have seen the universe where the program takes place. During Netflix Geeked Week in 2022, the streaming service gave users a sneak peek at everything. A brief clip showed many locations, such as the Going Merry, which was the beloved first sailing vessel of the Straw Hat Pirates, the Miss Love Duck, which was Iron Mace Alvida’s flagship, and the Baratie, which was a floating restaurant.

Eiichiro Oda came up with the idea for One Piece in 1998 for the magazine Weekly Shonen Jump. Luffy and his motley gang, known as the Straw Hats, are the protagonists of both the manga and the anime. Both adaptations have achieved phenomenal success, with the manga achieving the distinction of being the best-selling manga series in the medium’s history. Up to this point, about 516.6 million copies have been sold worldwide. On the live-action adaptation being produced by Netflix, Oda is serving as an executive producer.
